The Upper Suryanelli camp set atop a rocky outcrop and over 6000' high in the Western Ghats is both strategically located for those in search of Outbound Corporate Training, wilderness adventure camps and school camps. The camp overlooks the beautiful tea estates on one side and the Anaerangal Lake with its backdrop of the mountain ranges of the Sahyadris on the other - indeed an ideal location for adventure and learning.

The camp is laid out in a vast expanse, close to a pristine shola - a high altitude rain forest patch - and a perennial mountain stream. There is no earthly disturbance except the gentle rustle of leaves and the singing of birds!

Great care has been taken to minimise the impact on the natural shape of the mountain and the flora therein. The tents are all small dome-type tents and provided with sleeping mats and sleeping bags to cater to the low temperatures encountered here.

The toilets are common and are flushing WC's. Running water is provided by utilizing the natural flow of the mountain stream, so that there is no wastage of water. Great care is taken to dispose of the waste without in any way harming the fragile environment. 

There is limited electricity available here - for a few hours every day so that those who cannot remain without their mobiles & laptops can get a chance to charge them!! 

The food is ethnic, made lovingly by the cook from the local community - in fact all employees at this camp are from the local area - thus giving them valuable employment opportunity and helping their families live a decent life. In the same vein, it is worth mentioning that we always source our requirements from the local population- be it food items, the laundry or hiring of local vehicles - a perfect example of tourism in service of the local community!!!

At the Upper Camp, the activities are meant to inculcate a sense of conservation, adventure and the great outdoors!! We have taken special care to conduct these camps with the overriding purpose of conserving the fragile high altitude environment. The area falls within a zone of the bio-diversity 'hot spots' on earth and our emphasis on this aspect is our USP! 

The camp is ideal for conducting Outbound Corporate training - away from comfort zones and in the lap of wilderness. The camaraderie and discussions over the camp fire are some of the great take aways from this unforgettable camp.
